Speaker Bio

Born in Lebanon, Aline Asmar d'Amman is an architect, interior designer, and Founder of Culture in Architecture, a design studio based in Paris and Beirut. Approaching each project with an evocative and narrative force, Ms. d'Amman weaves intricate dialogues between the raw and the precious, heritage and modernity, poetry and materiality.

Culture in Architecture has been at the helm of several iconic interior projects, including the reopening of the Hôtel de Crillon, a Rosewood Hotel in Paris; a collaboration with design legend Karl Lagerfeld on the hotel’s Les Grands Appartements; and his collectible furniture collection, Architectures, with the Carpenters Workshop Gallery. She has also designed the new interiors of the Eiffel Tower's gastronomic restaurant, Le Jules Verne, with chef Frédéric Anton as well as Le Petit salon du 19M, a private and refined reception area celebrating the extraordinary savoir-faire of Chanel’s Métiers d’art Maisons in their Parisian headquarters. Singular in her ability to weave together past and present with flair and allure, Ms. d’Amman is leading the multilayered transformation of Orient Express Palazzo Donà Giovannelli in Venice and developing the design of Dream of the Desert, the Middle East’s first five-star train, departing from Riyadh to Al-Jouf, with a stop in AlUla, Saudi Arabia.

Pursuing a cross-disciplinary approach that spans interior architecture, art direction, and scenography for private and public projects worldwide, Ms. d’Amman’s vision is nurtured by a dedication to savoir-faire and fostering cultural conversations.
