Catalina Ruiz Urquiola is Vice President of Artemest Middle East, where she oversees the regional growth and strategic positioning of the leading online platform for Italian luxury design products. With over 15 years of experience in the global luxury sector across multiple regions, she brings a unique perspective shaped by her diverse background and cross-disciplinary career spanning fashion, interiors, and furniture design.
 
Born in Tokyo, raised in Miami, and originally from Spain, Ms. Urquiola began her career at Studio Urquiola in Milan. She went on to hold leadership roles in New York at IPPOLITA and René Caovilla, where she honed her expertise in brand building and international luxury.
 
After founding her own consultancy, she moved to Dubai in 2017, leading regional efforts for Italian design houses Poltrona Frau and Cassina, and later serving as Creative Director at H&H Development, where she launched the design platform COLLECTIONAL.
 
Today, through her role at Artemest, Ms. Urquiola champions heritage craftsmanship and meaningful design, building bridges between the Middle East and Italy’s finest artisans.
