Fausto Puglisi’s journey as Creative Director of Roberto Cavalli began in 2020. His work stands out for his exploration of contrasts, reflecting both his Italian roots and his interest in the melting pot of American culture.
Mr. Puglisi was born in Messina, Sicily, where he developed his love of fashion and a bold aesthetic, whilst taking in the skill and craftsmanship of local tailors. He relocated to America in 1999, honing his craft. His early projects were welcomed by Maxfield and top department stores in the United States and caught the eye of creatives like Arianne Phillips and Patti Wilson. In 2010, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana offered Mr. Puglisi space at their Milan concept store. Following this success, he presented his collections in Milan and Paris and was then appointed Artistic Director of Ungaro in 2013. The following year, his creations were exhibited at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
Mr. Puglisi dresses women with a bold and feminine style. His talent has led him to collaborations with global stars, including Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. at the 2012 Super Bowl; Katy Perry for her Prismatic World Tour; Madonna for projects such as Rebel Heart, Madam X, and Crave; Taylor Swift for The Eras Tour; and Beyoncé, who wore custom creations for the Houston Texans’ 2024 halftime show and the opening of her 2025 Cowboy Carter Tour. His accolades include the Fashion Star Award by Fashion Group International and Best Fashion Film Award at The New York Fashion Film Festival.
