Since joining e.l.f. as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in 2014, Mr. Amin took the company public (NYSE:ELF) in 2016 in one of the most successful beauty IPOs and has grown shareholder equity from $135M to over $8B. Under his leadership, the business has strategically expanded into a multi-brand portfolio that includes e.l.f. Cosmetics, e.l.f. SKIN, Well People, Keys Soulcare, and Naturium.
Mr. Amin’s commitment to building teams that mirror the consumers they serve is reflected not only in e.l.f. Beauty’s employee base but also in the board of directors. e.l.f. Beauty is one of only two public companies in the United States with a board that is 78% women and 44% diverse. He continues to lead the company with purpose, encouraging self-expression, empowering others, and embodying ethics. Mr. Amin has been recognized in Barron’s Top CEOs of 2024, and under his leadership, e.l.f. has been named on Inc.’s Best Workplaces and Newsweek’s Best of the Best 2024 lists.
Previously, he served as President, Chief Executive Officer, and Director of Schiff Nutrition and as Vice President, General Manager of The Clorox Company’s $1.7B Litter, Food, and Charcoal businesses. He began his career at Procter & Gamble.
He is an advisory board member of Duke University’s Fuqua/Coach K Center on Leadership & Ethics and serves on the boards of Pharmavite and J. M. Smucker. He previously served as Chair of the Alameda County Community Food Bank.
Mr. Amin earned both his bachelor’s degree in international policy and his master of business administration from Duke University.
