Erik Nordstrom is Co-Chief Executive Officer of Nordstrom Inc., a leading fashion retailer dedicated to helping customers feel good and look their best. He is a fourth-generation member of the Nordstrom family.
Under Mr. Nordstrom’s leadership, the business has grown from $5.1M to more than $15B and has increased its number of stores from 115 to more than 350. He has also driven critical investments in new capabilities to blend the digital and physical experiences, bringing Nordstrom closer to customers and serving them how, where, and when they want to shop.
Prior to his current role, he held various positions within the company—starting in the stockroom at the downtown Seattle Nordstrom store in 1976, becoming a shoe salesperson in 1979, and later moving into buying and regional management positions and leadership roles overseeing all areas of the business. His career has spanned every aspect of the retail business.
Mr. Nordstrom has served on the Nordstrom board of directors since 2006 and also serves on the board of the Jim Pattison Group, a diversified holding company. A Seattle native and heavily invested in his community, he is a board member for several Seattle-based nonprofits, including the Washington Roundtable, KEXP, and Challenge Seattle. In addition, he serves as a mentor at the University of Washington Foster School of Business.
