Sean Kim has served as Chief Executive Officer of Amorepacific Corporation since 2022, leading the company through a new phase of global growth and organizational transformation. Since joining the company in 2006, he has played a central role in shaping the group’s international expansion and strengthening its management foundations to compete in a rapidly evolving global beauty market.
Throughout his career at Amorepacific, Mr. Kim has combined strategic vision with operational rigor to drive sustainable growth. As Head of Strategic Planning, he guided the company’s exponential expansion in China while spearheading business development across emerging and priority markets. His work during this period laid the groundwork for Amorepacific’s transformation into a truly global beauty enterprise with diversified geographic growth engines.
Later, as Head of Human Resources, Mr. Kim focused on preparing the organization for long-term competitiveness. He led comprehensive HR initiatives to modernize leadership development, talent management, and organizational systems—redefining Amorepacific’s management framework to better adapt to fast-changing consumer trends, digital transformation, and global business complexity.
Before joining the company, he built his foundation as a strategic consultant, working with leading global organizations, including Samsung Group, McKinsey & Company, and IBM.
Mr. Kim holds a master of business administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and brings a strong blend of strategic insight, global experience, and people-centered leadership to his role as chief executive officer.
