Bringing over 25 years of technology experience from private equity and retail companies, Ekta Chopra joined e.l.f. Beauty in 2016 as Chief Digital Officer. She spearheads the company’s digital transformation, including e-commerce, engineering, data ecosystems, enterprise applications, security, Metaverse Web 3 technologies, and, notably, the development of AI-driven products. Her leadership has been instrumental in expanding e.l.f. Beauty's digital presence worldwide.
 
Ms. Chopra’s journey to e.l.f. began at the James Irvine Foundation, where she crafted and executed a successful technology strategy for their investment portfolio, focusing on enterprise applications, cloud transformation, and initiating partnerships with leading Silicon Valley brands. Before joining e.l.f. Beauty, she was Vice President of Technology at Charming Charlie, where she played a critical role in expanding the retailer from 17 to 120 stores across the nation. 
  
She is passionate about volunteering for nonprofits to enhance their technological capabilities and is recognized as a thought leader in Silicon Valley's CIO/CTO groups. A regular speaker at industry-leading events, Ms. Chopra shares her insights on technology, AI, retail, and the future of commerce. In 2022, she was honored for her contributions to STEM by Journal of Diversity, and in 2023, Rolling Stone featured her as one of the 20 Marketing Leaders Shaping the Creator Economy. She has also been recognized as a Leader to Watch and received the prestigious #CommerceXcellence Award.
 
Ms. Chopra holds a bachelor of arts in technology and operations management and a minor in finance from California Polytechnic State University.
