Stephanie Kramer is Chief Human Resources Officer of L’Oréal North America, author of Carry Strong: An Empowered Approach to Navigating Pregnancy and Work (Penguin Life, 2023), and the mother of two young sons.
As a tenured executive with 20 years of experience on three continents, Ms. Kramer brings dynamic global business and leadership expertise with a dedicated people-first approach to the L’Oréal HR strategy, including talent, learning, rewards, and people experience. Her prior roles have included Global General Manager, U.S. General Manager, and Global Head of Marketing across L’Oréal’s diverse portfolio. In addition, she was Head of Women's Fragrances and Head of Skincare at Chanel Inc.
Ms. Kramer has served as an Adjunct Professor of Management Communication in the graduate business program at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), where she is a member of the program’s industry advisory board. In addition, she serves as an advisor to MasterClass, Work &, and Project Healthy Minds; a member of the CNBC Workforce Executive Council; and an advisor to the Duke Fuqua Business School Chief Human Resources Officer Program advisory council. She is also a member of the women’s leadership board at Harvard Kennedy School.
Ms. Kramer has been a featured speaker at institutions and leadership summits across the country, including The Wharton School and the Yale Ventures Health of Women Summit. She and her writing have been featured in Fast Company and Fortune, among others.
She holds a degree in chemistry from Wake Forest University, a master’s degree from FIT, and is a licensed esthetician.
