Kevin Cureton is Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Solésence Beauty Science, which believes in leveraging the power of art and science to create clean, inclusive, mineral-based skin care and makeup products for brands. The company was recently named in Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies in the World for 2023.
Mr. Cureton has spent over 20 years in senior management roles in the beauty industry and is passionate about defining how to develop technologies and products that delight consumers while enhancing a brand’s value. His depth of experience includes leading and advising a range of technology and product businesses, such as ingredient companies, digital technology startups, and manufacturers and marketers of skin care, dermocosmetic, and beauty products.
He began his career in the beauty business while working for a billion-dollar materials company, where he founded and later became the Global Managing Director of AMCOL Health & Beauty Solutions, a manufacturer of private label products for brands and retailers. Mr. Cureton has also advised early stage companies and helped launch one of the first applications of facial recognition technology that allowed consumers to receive personalized product recommendations based upon their skin type.
Mr. Cureton received a bachelor of science in chemical engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University and an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
