Growing up in Southern California in the 90s, Sheena Zadeh-Daly’s first toys were a microscope kit and an art kit. Creative and curious since day one, she always loved making things with her hands, like her first beauty product at the age of 10: Glitter Gel Highlighter.
 
Ms. Zadeh-Daly’s love of innovation led to a degree in biological sciences (now handy in the Kosas lab) and her deep feelings for color manifested in a lifelong obsession with art. It was actually in a portrait painting class that she created her first lipstick shades. While mixing colors, she ended up with beautiful, earthy blends of neutrals and pinks. They were so vibrant, complex, and alive, and she wished she could wear them as makeup shades. She realized that maybe she could — and Kosas was born. 
 
Always obsessing about details others overlook, her extra sensitivity to how things feel drives the light, airy, comfy formulas users cannot wait to put on every day. Her belief that makeup is a huge opportunity to take care of your skin means every product is loaded with clean, healthy, effective ingredients. Her love and connection to color creates unique, dimensional shades that are so easy to wear, yet anything but boring. She created a beauty brand that is all about revealing, expressing, and being comfortable in your skin.
