Melis del Rey is General Manager of Health and Beauty at Amazon U.S. Stores, where she is responsible for driving growth, profitability, and shopping experience innovation. She also overseas Amazon’s strategic business programs such as selection, pricing, marketing, and data insights for U.S. consumables.
Ms. del Rey has developed her career for more than 20 years in consumer product goods with expertise in the health and beauty industry and online retail, working in leading multinational companies in a variety of leadership roles and countries. She is passionate about building and developing businesses globally and has a proven track record in e-commerce, brand building, strategy development, P&L management, and influencing key stakeholders to build support for common goals.
Prior to joining Amazon ten years ago, Ms. del Rey spent 11 years at Procter & Gamble, serving in marketing and sales leadership roles. She currently serves as a board member of Cosmetic Executive Women.
She holds a bachelor of engineering in manufacturing engineering and operations management and a doctor of philosophy in new product development and engineering design, both from Nottingham University in Nottingham, United Kingdom.
