Fausto Puglisi’s journey as Creative Director of Roberto Cavalli started in October 2020. Mr. Puglisi dresses women with a bold and feminine style, drawing inspiration from classic art, Baroque architecture, and contemporary Hollywood. His work stands out for his exploration of contrasts, reflecting both his Italian roots and his interest in the melting pot of American culture.
He was born in Messina, Sicily, where he developed his love of fashion and a bold aesthetic, while taking in the skill and craftsmanship of local tailors. He relocated to America in 1999 and honed his craft, living between Texas and New York before settling in Los Angeles. His early projects were welcomed by Maxfield and some of the top department stores in the United States and caught the eye of creatives like Arianne Phillips and Patti Wilson.
Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana offered Mr. Puglisi ample space at their Milan concept store in 2010. Following this success, he presented his collections in Milan and Paris and was appointed Artistic Director of Ungaro. In 2014 Mr. Puglisi’s creations were exhibited at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
His talent led him to collaborations with global celebrities such as Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. at the 2012 Super Bowl; Katy Perry for her Prismatic World Tour; Madonna for projects such as Rebel Heart, Madam X, and Crave; fashion icon Jennifer Lopez; and Taylor Swift for The Eras Tour. His accolades include the prestigious Fashion Star Award by Fashion Group International in 2021 and Best Fashion Film Award at the New York Fashion Film Festival in 2023.
