A new survey of industry leaders conducted by Kearney, a global professional services firm, in association with WWD has been launched to gather insights from executives on the impact of foreign policy—specifically tariffs—on apparel, luxury goods, footwear, beauty, and accessories. This will also uncover how customer behaviors and industry uncertainties are influencing decision-making, and the strategies executives are employing to navigate these market shifts.
The survey results will be presented in Piloting Tariff Turmoil: Executive Strategies for Apparel, Luxury, Beauty, and Accessories, a webinar led by Kearney partner and WWD Global Impact Council member, Brian Ehrig. Brian will be joined by Drew DeLong, global lead of Kearney’s geopolitical dynamics team, who will share his unique perspective informed by client work and conversations. The discussion will be moderated by WWD’s executive editor of strategic content Arthur Zaczkiewicz.
Questions we will address include:
What can companies do now to better prepare for foreign policies?
- What kind of impact are tariffs having on cost structures?
- How are companies dealing with increases in costs due to tariffs?
- Do foreign policy considerations have an impact on consumer perception of brands?
- Will we see a shift in consumer spend for the second half of 2025?
- How are companies responding to the uncertainties of the day?
- How are geopolitical considerations informing the strategic path forward?
