The Road to 2030: Dealing With Detours

This half-day event will focus on the realities of staying sustainable in the textile and apparel supply space as support from certain corners wanes and the appetite abates.

As brands and suppliers work toward 2030 climate and social targets, the path has proven anything but linear—marked by shifting government action, delayed or paused legislation, and rising operational costs that strain already complex global systems.

Intimate conversations will unpack how these “detours” are reshaping timelines and investment decisions, but also opening opportunities to stand out and make meaningful impact. Industry leaders will explore how companies are adapting to regulatory whiplash, balancing compliance with competitiveness, and deciding where to stay the course or when to recalibrate.

LETTER FROM THE EDITOR

It’s been a difficult period for the sustainability industry — and for those of us who have built our careers around driving meaningful change.

From policy reforms that have hampered progress, to legislation that has either stalled or been defanged, it can be difficult to find silver linings.
Business overall has also been tough. Tighter profits and slimmer margins have placed additional pressure on green initiatives. When every dollar counts, what was once considered essential can quickly be recast as optional.

That is precisely why our April 23 event, “The Road to 2030: Dealing With Detours,” is so important.

While the path forward has become more complex, we must continue to soldier on.

Whether it’s better materials, operational efficiency, clean energy or purchasing practices, we will take a look at where progress is being made and how you can integrate these solutions into your business regardless of the geopolitical backdrop.

This year’s gathering will be an intimate, invite-only event designed to enable all voices to be heard. We look forward to hearing yours.
