GLOBAL CREATIVITY AND THE FASHION IMAGINATION

DESIGN INSPIRATION: WHERE IT COMES FROM AND HOW IT HELPS CREATE CULTURE

From global runways to local streets, design inspiration crosses borders and influences culture worldwide. We’ll explore how Asian and Western aesthetics interact, how Hong Kong’s role as a crossroads of style informs creativity, and how inspiration not only fuels artistry but also drives cultural and commercial impact.

Storytelling is no longer just about creative expression - it’s a strategic business tool. This discussion will examine how brands weave narratives that resonate with diverse global audiences, build community across cultures, and enhance value as they scale into new markets, with Asia playing an increasingly central role.

From archival pieces to traditional craftsmanship, the past is a foundation for innovation. We’ll look at how brands draw on heritage to appeal to both regional and international consumers, and use it to create timeless messages that inspire future generations.

Global sourcing has never been more complex. As trade tensions ebb and flow and tariffs fluctuate on a seemingly daily basis, sourcing leaders are under pressure to make quick, strategic decisions that protect margins. Situated at the crossroads of global trade, Hong Kong continues to play a pivotal role as a logistics and sourcing hub, connecting East and West even amid shifting policies and evolving rules of origin. This panel brings together senior sourcing executives and trade experts to discuss how companies are adapting to ongoing uncertainty — and how Hong Kong fits into the new sourcing landscape.

New materials require a new mind-set. From lab-grown fibers and regenerative cotton to next-generation synthetics and bio-based alternatives, material innovation is redefining what sustainability means for fashion and textiles. As the industry faces mounting pressure to decarbonize and reduce waste, new materials are not just a design choice—they’re becoming a business imperative. With its deep roots in textile manufacturing, research, and sourcing, Hong Kong continues to shape this material revolution—serving as a bridge between cutting-edge innovation and large-scale industry adoption across Asia and beyond.
